Winter's Eve: Love & Lights at the Didsbury Library

Mountain View Community Literacy in cooperation with the Didsbury Library ran two sessions of the Winter's Eve program on December 9th. The goal was to get moms and their preschools out of the house for a few hours of fun and education. The kids were treated to the story Winter's Eve: Love & Lights by Lisa Sferlazza Johnson. This story examines some of the various winter holidays celebrated throughout the world, including Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and the Chinese New Year-Eve.

We sang songs, created beautiful snowflake artwork and enjoyed a sing-a-long featuring everyone's favourite, Frosty the Snowman. Each family took home a beautiful copy of one of the featured books along with their snowflake decorations. If you would like to borrow a copy of either Winter's Eve: Love & Lights or Frosty the Snowman, please contact the Didsbury Public Library.
